Waste Connections has created an app and it is terrific. It clears up any confusion about whether to put the garbage out.
It will send one notification a week on Wednesday night around 6 pm as a reminder to put my garbage out by 7 am Thursday. It will notify you of schedule changes as well. For example if there is a weather delay it will tell you when to put your waste out next.
