PARKING
Please do NOT park in the guest parking. These are intended for
guests.

The HOA Board has been informed that some residents are parking in the guest parking. These parking spaces are for guests only. Homeowners are to park in their garages or off complex (Wycliffe). Cars that are parked in guest parking consistently and that do not have a parking pass are subject to tow. Collins Towing has permission to tow vehicles that are in violation of the parking police without notice. Therefore, if you have a long term guest, please contact Jim Martin for a parking pass.
PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE WILDLIFE!

Please remember that we live in a community with others.:

Feeding birds, squirrels, rabbits and other animals invites bears and bobcats and mountain lions.

If the food is in an appropriate device for feeding, for example a bird feeder, you are probably fine.  If you are leaving food out on plates, bowls, the ground, etc. you are inviting trouble for yourself and for your neighbors.

IF YOU SEE PREDATORY ANIMALS…
PLEASE CONTACT THE STATE PATROL AT
719-685-1228:

DO NOT TAKE MATTERS INTO YOUR OWN HANDS.  KILLING BEARS (UNLESS IN SELF DEFFENCE) IS A CRIME & YOU WILL BE PROSECUTED.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN KEEPING OUR COMMUNITY AND THE BEAR SAFE!

COLORADO PARKS & WILDLIFE!

Birds
Colorado Parks and Wildlife understands peoples’ desire to use backyard bird feeders to supplement natural food for songbirds. However, birdfeeders should not be placed outside from March through the end of November for any reason. Bird feeders are very likely to become bear feeders, and full bird feeders quickly teach bears that it’s safe to come close to people and homes looking for food. This is dangerous for bears and people alike.
Any type of bird feeder (hummingbird, suet and seed) placed on your property, including those on upper levels, create one of the easiest meals a bear can find. A seven-pound bag of birdseed equates to 12,180 calories, which is an easy and valuable meal for a bear.
Other options to attract birds to your property include nesting boxes, creating a bird garden, hanging flower pots or having a bird bath.
Bird feeders are only appropriate when placed outside in the winter months when bears are hibernating. Be responsible about attracting birds and you’ll be doing your part to keep Colorado’s wildlife wild.

The Law
Under Colorado law, intentionally feeding big game animals is illegal. The prohibition applies to deer, elk, pronghorn, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, mountain lions, and bears. Violators face a $100 fine.
Spring is Coming…
However, we can still get below freezing temperatures. Please completely disconnect any hoses from your outside spigots and leave them off.  If you need to reattach the hose for any reason during the spring, please make sure you disconnect the hose immediately after use.

Damage to your unit from frozen spigots will be the homeowner’s responsibility.  Protect yourself from easy to prevent water line breaks.
SPEEDING
The HOA Board and America 2000, Inc. have received numerous
calls about excessive speed on the property. PLEASE SLOW
DOWN. PLEASE BE SAFE. THANK YOU!
